Clean coal is a con
Clean coal is an industry con job created by the coal industry spin doctors in the 1990s to counteract the dirty image and the poor environmental performance of the coal industry. Though the clean coal myth has been debunked, the NSW Labor Government continues to back it. In 2008 it created a new Clean Coal Fund and committed over $100 million of taxpayer's money into researching and promoting clean coal technologies.
